Job summary

Vincere in Singapore seeks an Engineering Lead for the Core Payouts & Services team. You will architect and scale high-throughput payout APIs and services, ensuring 24/7 reliability and enterprise-grade security, while mentoring a world-class engineering team.

The role requires hands-on Golang expertise, strong database design skills, and experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD. A fintech/payments background is a plus. We value a startup mindset with enterprise rigor.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience mentoring or guiding an engineering team in a fast-paced setting.
• Proficiency in Golang for building scalable backend systems.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases, especially PostgreSQL.
• Experience designing, building, and securing high-volume REST/JSON APIs.
• Familiarity with AWS, Kubernetes (EKS), Docker-based deployments.
• Willingness to work with Perl/Mojolicious as part of modernization.

Responsibilities

• Architect and scale high-throughput, low-latency RESTful APIs and core backend microservices.
• Own the core payout platform with SLA, security, and availability responsibility.
• Enforce clean code, automated testing (TDD), documentation, and code reviews.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team.
• Champion Agile practices and drive predictable, fast delivery.
• Collaborate with DevOps to optimize CI/CD, provisioning, and zero-downtime deployments.
• Coordinate with Chief Architect, product management, and global teams.
