Job summary

Grab is seeking a Lead Engineer for its Lending-focused backend team based in Singapore. You will design, develop, and maintain backend components, collaborating with product, business and programme management to ensure timely delivery.

You will advocate best practices, perform code reviews, and guide architectural decisions for scalable services. The role reports to an Engineering Manager and is onsite in the Singapore office, with ownership of critical systems and performance improvements

Qualifications

10+ years in a relevant field, with lending domain experience.
Robust backend systems development (DBMS, NoSQL, caches, web/app servers).
Proficiency in Golang and CS fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, OS).

Responsibilities

Propose and lead technical improvements that enhance performance and efficiency.
Contribute to technical and product reviews, providing insights and feedback.
Deliver high-quality, maintainable code and own the development process.
Collaborate with SRE/DevOps to manage scalable infrastructure.
Participate in on-call rotation and address system issues promptly.
Lead projects with clear communication and ownership of outcomes.
