Job summary

Sanmina-SCI Systems Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a technician to perform preventive maintenance on test platforms and inspection machines, ensuring proper setup and safe operation on a busy production line.

You will troubleshoot hardware and software issues at a basic level, assist with changeovers, and keep accurate maintenance records. Shift work, strong safety practices, and ability to work weekends are required.

Qualifications

• NITEC/Diploma in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
• Preferably 2 years of experience in a PCBA manufacturing environment; fresh graduates considered.
• Experience with Keysight 3070 ICT, ViTrox AXI, or TAKAYA Flying Probe preferred.
• Basic tester troubleshooting to locate faults.
• Able to operate an oscilloscope and multimeter for fault finding.
• Proficient in MS Office / Google Suite.
• Willing to work shifts including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on all test platforms and inspection machines according to checklists.
• Follow safety and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct first-level troubleshooting to resolve hardware/software issues quickly.
• Assist in setup and changeover of functional testers and load correct fixtures/programs.
• Carry out basic repairs on test fixtures and cables; escalate complex issues.
• Accurately record maintenance activities and machine downtime in the system.
• Maintain an organized work area and ensure tools are returned (5S).
• Adhere to Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures.
• Work on different shifts to support production schedules.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Management.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly Preventive Maintenance (PM) on all test platforms and inspection machines (including but not limited to ICT, AXI, Flying Probe, IC offline Programmers, and Barcode label printers) according to the checklists.

• Follow and comply with equipment regulatory and safety requirements.

• Conduct first-level troubleshooting on production line test equipment to resolve hardware or software errors quickly to minimize production downtime.

• Assist in the physical setup and changeover of functional testers, ensuring correct fixtures and programs are loaded.

• Carry out basic repairs on test fixtures and cables, escalating complex issues to the Senior Engineering Assistant.

• Accurately record all maintenance activities and machine downtime in the system.

• Maintain an organized work area and ensure tools are returned to designated spots (5S compliance).

• Adhere to all safety protocols, including Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures.

• Work on different shifts as required to support dynamic production schedules and operational needs.

• Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Management.

Requirements

• NITEC/Diploma in Electrical / Electronics Engineering or equivalent.

• Preferably with 2 years of experience in a PCBA manufacturing environment. Those without prior work experience are welcome to apply.

• Preferably with Keysight 3070 ICT, ViTrox AXI, or TAKAYA Flying Probe experience.

• Basic knowledge of tester troubleshooting skills to locate the fault.

• Preferably able to operate an oscilloscope, multi-meter, and other instruments for fault finding.

• Proficient in MS Office/ Google Suite applications.

• Able to commit shift work including weekends and public holidays.
