Responsibilities

• Use lab tools to check setups, isolate bugs, and upgrade firmware/hardware.
• Record test progress, capture logs, and maintain documentation.
• Assist with lab maintenance and logistics to ensure efficient operations.

Engineering Assistant

Location: Queenstown, Singapore

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.30pm

Key responsibilities

• Perform hands-on assembly, disassembly, teardowns, and physical retrofitting of prototype devices, hardware units, or test jigs

• Conduct routine and advanced hardware validation tests (including environmental, electrical, mechanical, EMC, and connectivity checks) based on clear test cases and specifications

• Use lab diagnostic tools (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies) to check test setups, isolate hardware/software bugs, and perform minor firmware/hardware upgrades

• Accurately record test progress, capture screenshots/logs, and maintain neat documentation

• Assist with lab maintenance, equipment calibration tracking, sample logistics (including customs documentation where needed), or process material transfers to ensure an efficient and safe working environment

Requirements

• Nitec / Higher Nitec or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Chemical Process Engineering, or any related technical discipline

• Ability to read and follow standard written step-by-step Technical/Work Instructions (WIs) and engineering schematics

• Meticulous with good observational skills to catch physical, printed, or functional defects

• Adaptable team player who enjoys hands-on tasks
