Job summary

GLOBALFOUNDRIES Singapore FAB 7 is seeking an engineer to provide dedicated support for semiconductor process operations. The role involves overseeing day‑to‑day activities to meet cycle times, throughput, prototype success and shipment plans, while supporting automated assembly tools and capacity modeling.

The candidate should hold a Degree in Engineering, understand manufacturing principles in a fab environment, and be able to apply data analysis, root cause analysis, and SPC to resolve

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering is required.
• Experience with data analysis, root cause analysis or SPC is beneficial.
• Strong communication skills to work with multiple stakeholders in a fab environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for semiconductor process operations.
• Oversee operational activities to meet daily targets such as cycle time, throughput, prototype success and shipment plan.
• Support automated assembly tools to back manufacturing processes.
• Assist engineering for capacity modeling and ensure UPH assumptions are accurate in tools capacity modeling.
• Drive manufacturing efficiencies, quality and productivity improvements.
• Adhere to Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and collaborate on other projects as needed.

Job Description

Provide engineering support for semiconductor process operations.

Typically performs one or more of the following as directed and/or independently:

• Provides oversight and guidance of operational activities in ensuring productive use of manufacturing, process and equipment to meet the daily targets and operational goals — Cycle time, Throughput, Prototype success and Fabout — Shipment Plan
• Supports automated assembly tools to support manufacturing processes
• Supports engineering and industrial engineering for accurate and up-to-date assumptions, constraints and UPH are used in the tools capacity modeling
• Drives manufacturing efficiencies, quality and productivity improvements
• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
• Work and collaborate other projects and/or assignments as needed

Job Requirements

Degree in Engineering

Good understanding of manufacturing principles, equipment interaction, and process discipline within a semiconductor fab environment

Familiar with standard engineering and problem‑solving methodologies (e.g., data analysis, root cause analysis, SPC) to identify, analyze, and resolve routine manufacturing issues

Can works effectively as part of manufacturing, operations, or module teams to support day‑to‑day production and continuous improvement initiatives

Good communication skills to work with various stakeholders on the fab floor

Must be able to work on 12‑hour shift
