Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Ensure daily equipment and processes are running per plan and maximise equipment uptime.
- Improve manufacturing processes capability with higher predictability and lower production cost.
- Identify productivity improvement opportunities, recommend changes to machine parts designs, liaise with process engineering on the feasilbility studies and implementation.
- Effective use of Lean tools to improve overall machine performance (eg, OEE, cause map).
- Meet all product requirements and ensure safe working environment.
- Ensure machine make parts are of acceptable quality, safe to operate and friendly to the environment. Conduct validation studies and process investigations.
- Routine manufacturing and maintenance engineering.
- Develop and improve equipment maintenance manual/SOP.
- Develop and execute equipment maintenance plan.
- Study parts life and establish PM schedule for TPM activities.
- Spare parts purchase, inventory management and contract maintenance.
- Equipment calibration and licence renewal.
- Analyze machine and/ or process issue related to customer complaint and implement effective corrective and preventive action.
- Raise Capex whenever required. Work on business case and negotiate with suppliers where necessary.

- May include leading a group of technicians to support manufacturing activities. Training of technicians.
- Responsible for compliance with Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) procedure and requirement.
- Lead and implement Energy/Water conservation projects.
- For Steam Operation only:
- Ensure daily cycles are reviewed to meet release requirement and approved for release
- Lead a team of steam technicians for daily operation and maintenance of steam sterilization vessels.
Qualification / Education
To include the education that is necessary to perform the job satisfactorily
- Degree in Mechanical/Mechantronic Engineering or equivalent
Skill Set / Experience
List the knowledge / skill / experience required
- Degree with Min 3 years experience. Fresh Degree are welcome to apply.
- 2-3 years experience in engineering projects management and coordination
- Good engineering background in industrial automation, electrical and controls engineering
- Experience in new manufacturing machinery commissioning, debugging and validation
- Familiar with basic GMP and other relevant requirements for medical/ pharmaceutical products manufacturing.
