Job summary

Exentec Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking an HVAC and Mechanical Engineer to design HVAC systems for cleanrooms and controlled environments in advanced manufacturing settings. You will perform calculations, select equipment, and ensure compliance and reliability across projects.

The role requires 3–5 years of HVAC design experience, familiarity with AMC and cleanroom requirements, and strong teamwork skills to coordinate with clients and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3-5 years of HVAC mechanical design experience.
• Experience in cleanroom, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or advanced manufacturing facilities preferred.
• Familiarity with cleanroom design principles, AMC control, process exhaust, and temperature/humidity control requirements.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary project environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform HVAC and mechanical design calculations (cooling/heating load, airflow, pressure drop, duct sizing, chilled water pipe sizing).
• Develop HVAC system designs and select equipment to meet project requirements and standards.
• Support cleanroom HVAC systems including temperature, humidity, pressure, airflow, and particle control.
• Develop AMC mitigation strategies and design process exhaust, makeup air, and filtration systems for contamination-sensitive environments.
• Conduct heat load assessments and evaluate temperature stability requirements for controlled environments.
• Prepare engineering calculations, design docs, reports, and specifications.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and vendors for project delivery.
• Support commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and system performance verification.
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and client specs.

The HVAC / Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for the design and engineering of HVAC systems for cleanroom and controlled environment facilities. The role involves performing design calculations, equipment selection, and environmental control assessments to ensure optimal system performance, compliance, and operational reliability in advanced manufacturing environments

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform HVAC and mechanical engineering design calculations, including cooling load, heating load, airflow, pressure drop, duct sizing, and chilled water pipe sizing.
• Develop HVAC system designs and select appropriate equipment to meet project requirements and industry standards.
• Support design cleanroom HVAC systems including temperature, humidity, pressure, airflow, and particulate control requirements.
• Develop AMC (Airborne Molecular Contamination) mitigation strategies and design process exhaust, makeup air, and filtration systems for contamination-sensitive manufacturing environments.
• Conduct tool heat load assessments and evaluate temperature stability requirements for controlled environments.
• Prepare engineering calculations, design documentation, technical reports, and specifications.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and vendors to ensure successful project delivery.
• Support commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and system performance verification activities.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client specifications.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 3-5 years of experience in HVAC mechanical design engineering, preferably supporting cleanroom, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or advanced manufacturing facilities.
• Experience in HVAC design and engineering, preferably within cleanroom, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, or advanced manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with cleanroom design principles, AMC control, process exhaust systems, and temperature/humidity control requirements.
• Experience in HVAC equipment selection, including AHUs, chillers, pumps, and ventilation systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary project environment.
