Further Materials Singapore Pte. Ltd. is seeking an Assistant Engineer to support the design and maintenance of our facility infrastructure, focusing on mechanical and electrical systems for the semiconductor environment.

You will assist site representation, review quotations with contractors, help manage resources, and ensure safety and accuracy during installation.

Fresh graduates with a Diploma/NITEC in Mechanical Engineering are welcome; AutoCAD knowledge and MS Office are a plus.

Qualifikationen

• Diploma or NITEC in Mechanical Engineering required; fresh poly/ITE grads welcome.
• Interest in M&E detailing, HVAC, or industrial facilities.
• Proficient in MS Office; AutoCAD knowledge is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Assist site representation to monitor work quality and ensure timelines meet building codes.
• Interpret design goals to aid in resource management.
• Review quotations with subcontractors and verify materials match drawings.
• Obtain vendor specs and compare quotations for equipment.
• Support site supervision of temporary works and installation phases.
• Maintain safety and technical accuracy with site teams.
• Keep daily logs and prepare management reports.
• Assist in driving project improvements for facility performance.
• Working days: Mon-Fri and alternate Sat.

Job Summary

Join our high-growth startup as an Assistant Engineer to support the design and maintenance of our facility infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Assist the site representation in monitoring work quality and ensure project timelines comply with local building codes
• Help interpret design goals and system requirements to assist in the efficient management of material resources
• Support communication with subcontractors by helping review quotations and verifying that materials delivered to site match engineering drawings.
• Assist in gathering technical specifications from vendors and comparing competitive quotations for equipment.
• Help supervise temporary site works and installation phases to ensure everything is ready for operations.
• Work with site teams to maintain high safety standards and technical accuracy during all installation phases.
• Maintain accurate daily operational logs and help prepare reports or documentation for management review.
• Support management in driving technical projects or system improvements to enhance facility performance.
• Working Days: Mon to Fri & Alternative Sat

Required competencies and certifications

• Diploma, Higher NITEC/NITEC in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline. Fresh graduates from Polytechnic or ITE are welcome to apply.
• Strong interest in M&E detailing, HVAC systems, or industrial facility environments
• Good interpersonal skills to coordinate with team members and contractors.
• Basic analytical skills to help troubleshoot system issues.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, knowledge of AutoCAD or similar engineering software is a plus.
