Job summary

PAXOCEAN ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. is seeking a detail design engineer for architectural outfitting and safety to comply with Class and Technical specification requirements within the assigned schedule.

You will independently develop and be responsible for the detail design and lead the project, delivering design drawings in line with the project plan. Responsibilities include preparing compartment layouts, liaising with Owner and Classification Society, sourcing lifesa ving equipment

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in relevant discipline.
• Familiar with AutoCAD/ Microsoft Office/ AVEVA/ Cadmatic or similar.
• Good communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the project design drawings and documents according to project plan schedule and take on project lead role.
• Prepare compartment layouts, manage space and coordinate with other engineering specialties.
• Liaise with Owner and Classification Society for design compliance, review and approval.
• Prepare architectural outfitting, lifesaving equipment sourcing specs.
• Conduct technical evaluation of offers from sellers.
• Liaise with suppliers and contractors for interpretation of drawings/specifications.
• Develop and update weight report (weight and center of gravity).
• Communicate with production on troubleshooting and on-site visits when needed.
• Hull outfitting coverage is an advantage.

• Communicate with the person in charge of production on trouble shooting and visiting on-site if needed.
• Hull outfitting coverage is an advantage.
