Job summary

A marine engineering firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced Engineer to assist in creating design office standards and to handle project management tasks. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in AutoCAD, Rhinoceros, Solidworks, and experience with ship systems engineering. Qualifications

Job description

• Assist in the creation of design office standards and practices.
• Capable of taking on project management tasks
• Ensure OHSE policies and guidelines are carried out.
• Provide technical and professional help to junior employees.
• Communicate with project managers and designers.
• Collaborate with production departments to give technical support.
• Provide regular contact to the Design Manager.
• Attend Design & Project meetings and conference calls.
• Provide information on work completed on a monthly basis to the Design Manager.
• Preliminary vessel concept development for tender
• Prepare 2D and 3D drawings/models for building.
• Engineering system calculations according to various classification society regulations.
• Preparing and reviewing production designs for construction
• Ensure the proper filing and documenting of drawings, calculations, and other project documents on the design server.

Qualifications:

• Proficient with AutoCAD 2D and 3D, Rhinoceros, Solidworks, and other 3D tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
• Formal education in Naval Architecture, Mechanical, or Marine Engineering
• Experience with ship systems engineering.
