Job summary

PaxOcean Singapore is seeking an experienced engineer to independently develop and detail the design of architectural outfitting and safety, ensuring compliance with Class and technical specifications within the project schedule.

The role requires coordination with owners, classification societies, and suppliers, plus the ability to prepare layouts, manage space, and track weight data. Offshore hull outfitting knowledge is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Independently develop and responsible for detail design of architectural outfitting & safety to comply with Class and Technical specification requirements within assigned schedule.
• Familiar with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, AVEVA, Cadmatic or similar.
• Good communication and analytical skills.
• Liaise with Owner and Classification Society for design compliance, review, and approval.
• Hull outfitting coverage is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Deliver project design drawings and documents according to the project plan; assume project lead role.
• Prepare compartment layouts, manage space, and coordinate with other engineering disciplines.
• Liaise with Owner and Classification Society for design compliance, review, and approval.
• Prepare architectural outfitting, lifesaving equipment sourcing technical specifications.
• Develop and update weight report (weight and center of gravity).
• Communicate with the production lead on troubleshooting and on-site visits as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for delivering the respective project design drawing and document according to project plan schedule. Shall take on project lead role


• Prepares compartment layouts, managing space, and coordinating with other engineering specialties.


• Liaise with Owner and Classification Society for the specific design requirement compliance, review, and approval.


• Prepares architectural outfitting, lifesaving equipment sourcing technical specifications


• Conduct a technical evaluation of the offer made by the seller.


• Liaise with suppliers and contractors for interpretation of the drawings and specifications.


• Develop and update weight report (weight and center of gravity).


• Communicate with the person in charge of production on trouble shooting and visiting on-site if needed.


• Hull outfitting coverage is an advantage.

Key Requirements
