Job summary

Singapore Post Limited is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead the team responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance of sorting equipment at the Singpost Regional Ecommerce Logistic Hub (37 Greenwich Drive).

You will coordinate with operations, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure safety, reliability, and efficiency of material handling systems, bringing 8+ years of hands-on experience and a strong engineering background to the role.

Qualifications

• Able to work on a 3-shift rotation including weekends.
• Nitec, Higher Nitec, or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering or related.
• Minimum 8 years hands-on experience maintaining and troubleshooting sorting equipment or material handling systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace for documentation and reporting.
• Analytical and continuous improvement mindset; strong root-cause problem-solving skills.
• Valid WA H or relevant Workplace Safety and Health certification is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize performance of sorting equipment with preventive maintenance.
• Coordinate with vendors for testing, installation and implementation of new equipment for quality, safety, and productivity improvements.
• Lead maintenance team in planning and executing preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Provide advanced technical guidance and on-the-job training to juniors.
• Prepare and present management reports on maintenance activities and equipment status.

Operational

Equipment & Maintenance:

• Work closely with Operations to ensure optimal machine performance.
• Monitor equipment performance and execute scheduled preventive maintenance programs accordingly.
• Identify areas for improvement on sorting equipment and make recommendations for enhancement.
• Ensure operational logs and spare parts inventory are kept up to date.

Vendor & Project Coordination:

• Liaise with vendors to troubleshoot, test, install, and implement new equipment for quality, safety, and productivity improvement projects.

Safety, Compliance & Housekeeping:

• Conduct regular housekeeping in designated work areas.
• Serve as a Work at Height Supervisor for Permit-to-Work (PTW) application and approval processes.

Specialized / Secondary Duties:

• Take on additional specialized functional roles, such as Spare Parts Controller, as required.

Supervisory & Leadership

Team Leadership & Execution:

• Lead a team in planning and executing preventive and corrective maintenance for sortation equipment.

Mentorship & Technical Guidance:

• Provide advanced technical advice to junior team members and key internal stakeholders.
• Provide hands-on guidance and On-the-Job Training (OJT) to juniors.

Reporting & Stakeholder Communication:

• Prepare and deliver management reporting on maintenance activities and performance metrics.
• Provide regular updates to the Engineering Services Manager regarding work progress and equipment status.

Managerial Backup:

• Stand in for the Engineering Manager during their absence.

Requirement

• Able to work on a 3-shift rotation schedule, including weekends.
• Nitec, Higher Nitec, or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience maintaining and troubleshooting sorting equipment or material handling systems.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace for documentation and reporting.
• Analytical and continuous improvement skillset will be an advantage.
• Valid Work-at-Height (WAH) or relevant Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) certification is an advantage
• Strong analytical and root-cause problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.

Monday - Friday: 0745H to 1430H | Saturday: 0745H to 1700H | Sunday: Rest

Late Shift

Monday - Friday: 1315H to 2230H | Saturday: Off | Sunday: Rest

Night Shift

Monday - Thursday: 2145H to 0700H | Friday: Off | Saturday: Rest | Sunday: 1900H to 0700H
