  • 8-12 years of experience in consulting, professional services, system integration, or technology services organizations.
  • Proven experience leading or managing client-facing transformation, technology, or business consulting engagements.
  • Experience supporting bid management, solution development, proposal creation, and client pursuits.
  • Strong understanding of project delivery methodologies, governance frameworks, and program management practices.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams across sales, consulting, delivery, and technical disciplines.
  • Experience within consulting firms or technology services organizations is highly preferred.

Role Summary

The Engagement Manager serves as the bridge between sales, consulting, and delivery teams, bringing delivery leadership and industry expertise to support strategic client opportunities. This role partners closely with account and sales teams to shape solutions, define delivery approaches, and support deal pursuits through to successful closure.

The successful candidate will leverage consulting and delivery experience to establish credibility with clients, facilitate solution discussions, assess delivery feasibility, and ensure a smooth transition from sales to execution. While not a quota-carrying sales role, the Engagement Manager plays a critical role in improving pursuit quality, strengthening client confidence, and increasing the likelihood of successful deal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Deal Pursuit & Client Engagement
  • Partner with sales and account teams to qualify opportunities and understand client business challenges, objectives, and transformation priorities.
  • Participate in client discussions, workshops, and presentations to provide delivery and transformation expertise.
  • Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders and act as a credible advisor throughout the pursuit lifecycle.
  • Support proposal development, RFP responses, and client presentations.
Solution Shaping & Commercial Support
  • Work with consulting, architecture, and delivery teams to develop practical, scalable, and outcome-focused solutions.
  • Define delivery approaches, operating models, project plans, resource requirements, and governance structures.
  • Provide effort estimates, implementation assumptions, risk assessments, and delivery considerations to support commercial proposals.
  • Ensure proposed solutions balance client expectations, delivery feasibility, quality, and commercial objectives.
Delivery Readiness & Transition
  • Lead the transition from pursuit to delivery by ensuring clear handover of scope, assumptions, risks, and commitments.
  • Support project mobilization activities and establish governance frameworks for successful execution.
  • Identify and mitigate potential delivery risks early in the sales cycle.
  • Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure commitments made during the sales phase are understood and achievable.
  • Work closely with sales, consulting, delivery, and practice teams to improve pursuit effectiveness and solution quality.
  • Contribute to reusable assets, methodologies, case studies, and solution accelerators.
  • Share lessons learned from pursuits and project engagements to strengthen organizational capabilities.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to the development of delivery and consulting best practices.
