Job summary

RRECRUITER PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to lead end-to-end design of complete machines, from concept through site commissioning, including on-site installation and testing.

The role requires hands-on expertise in automation, semiconductor, HDD, or precision engineering, with strong CAD skills (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and a proven track record in delivering robust mechanical systems within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant mechanical design experience, preferably within automation, semiconductor, HDD, or precision engineering industries.
• Strong track record in designing complete machines from concept through to site commissioning.
• Proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Experience in pneumatic system design and pneumatic circuit development.
• Good understanding of linear motion systems.
• Strong capability in producing fabrication, assembly, and machine layout drawings.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a practical engineering approach.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop complete automation machines and mechanical systems for cleanroom and industrial applications.
• Handle the full mechanical design lifecycle, from concept development and detailed engineering to manufacturing and site commissioning.
• Produce detailed engineering drawings, machine layouts, assembly drawings, fabrication drawings, and cost estimates.
• Lead and manage mechanical design projects throughout the project lifecycle.
• Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams to improve machine performance and optimize design and project costs.
• Provide technical support and resolve mechanical design issues throughout project execution.
• Review and verify engineering designs and drawings to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with customer specifications.
• Engage directly with customers to understand technical requirements, participate in design reviews, and address engineering-related matters.
• Support or lead machine installation, testing, and commissioning activities at customer sites when required.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant engineering standards, including ISO 9000, SEMI S2, and SOP39.
• Undertake other responsibilities as assigned by management.
