Job summary

re-zoo-me is in Singapore seeking an experienced embedded software engineer to build Linux-based NetZero products and maintain existing codebases.

You will select Yocto/Buildroot distributions, collaborate with a small team, and contribute to a Home EMS system using Home Assistant components for scalable, long-term solutions. The role targets global markets with a focus on Europe, from design through maintenance.

Qualifications

• 3 years of embedded software development, Linux preferred.
• Experience with embedded Linux distributions (Yocto/Buildroot) and kernel development.
• Familiarity with Home Assistant or similar open-source home automation.
• Knowledge of data protocols and edge AI tools; cybersecurity basics.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain embedded software for NetZero products; ensure code reusability.
• Collaborate with a small, focused team to deliver software on time.
• Identify and implement best embedded Linux distribution for projects (Yocto/Buildroot).
• Develop Home EMS system using a common Linux OS stack and open-source components.
• Ensure software is scalable for global markets, starting with Europe.
• Participate in full software development lifecycle: design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance.
• Stay updated with industry trends to drive innovation.
