Job summary

STEIGEN ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. is seeking a dedicated Elevator Technician to perform routine maintenance, inspection, repair and installation of lifts at various sites in Singapore. The role requires hands-on technical work and a proactive safety mindset.

You will troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults, complete testing after service, and keep accurate service records. Willingness to work on-call and travel between sites is essential, and a motorcycle licence is preferred.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in lift/elevator maintenance preferred.
• Willingness to work beyond normal hours when rostered.
• Must have valid motorcycle licence.

Elevator Technician

We are looking for a hardworking and responsibleElevator Technicianto join our team. The successful candidate will carry out maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and installation works for lifts/elevators at various sites. Candidates with better credentials may be considered for higher level position.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and preventive maintenance of lifts/elevators.

• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.

• Attend to lift breakdowns and carry out necessary rectification works.

• Perform installation, replacement and upgrading of lift components and equipment.

• Conduct testing and checking after repair or installation works to ensure proper and safe operation.

• Maintain proper service and repair records.

• Comply with company procedures and applicable workplace safety requirements.

• Attend to other technical duties and site works as assigned.

• Participate in theafter-office-hours callback/standby roster, including attending to emergency lift breakdowns when called upon.

Requirements

• Relevant experience in the lift/elevator industry ispreferred, particularly in maintenance, troubleshooting, repair or installation.

• Hardworking, responsible and willing to perform hands-on technical work.

• Able to troubleshoot problems independently and work as part of a team.

• Willing and able to work beyond normal office hours when rostered for callback/standby duty.

• Valid motorcycle licence is required.

• Having yourown motorcycle is an advantage.

• Able to travel between different job sites as required.

Working Arrangement

The position involves regular daytime servicing, repair and installation work, together with scheduledafter-hours callback standby duties. Technicians on standby must be contactable and prepared to attend to breakdowns or emergency calls when required.
