Job summary

AUSTRALIAN INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL PTE. LTD. seeks a qualified counsellor/pastoral care leader to deliver school-wide programs and provide student support for diverse learners. You will lead counselling services, manage cases, and develop wellbeing initiatives within a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires a degree in counselling/psychology/social work (Master's preferred), and strong communication skills to collaborate with students, families, and staff in an international school community.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years full-time supervised counselling or pastoral care experience with children/young people.
• Degree in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Professional membership or credentials for counselling association advantageous.
• Certificate in cognitive behavior therapy or similar advantageous.
• Current full registration or eligibility for registration as a counsellor.
• Ability to work in a multicultural school environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate with students, parents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to enable effective delivery of whole-school educational programs and services.
• Deliver counselling and case management within a multidisciplinary framework.
• Develop and implement student support programs for high-need students.
• Respond to sensitive student issues within an ethical framework.
• Promote safeguarding policies and collaborate with school community.
• Prepare written applications addressing Key Result Areas for selection.
