Job summary

Staffhub Group in Singapore is seeking an experienced electrical design engineer to lead the localisation of a power supply unit for local manufacturing.

You will translate requirements into robust schematics and PCB layouts, develop BOMs and test plans, and prototype and debug boards. The role demands hands-on engineering, strong communication, and the ability to train technicians as the build process scales.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic or related field.
• More than 5 years electrical design experience of power supply.
• Hands-on pioneer engineer who can train technicians.
• Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB design is a plus.
• Strong communication, problem solving and analytical abilities.
• Independent, self-starter and team player.

Responsibilities

• Technology transfer to localise manufacture of power supply unit in Singapore.
• Localise manufacturing requirements for in-house product per original design criteria and procedure.
• Proposed new or modified solution and quotes to sales/customer requirements.
• Electrical circuit design and schematic capture.
• PIC programming.
• Bill of materials (BOM) and test plan creation.
• Breadboard and prototype samples making and debugging.
• Design new solution/product within companys standard design practice, safety guidelines, agreed timescales and costs.
• Performed product verification and validation to ensure product meet specification before delivered to customer.
• Document machine build process and continuously improve quality and cost.

Key Qualifications and Skills:

Hands-on approach as pioneer engineer within team before hiring/training technicians to takeover build process

Familiarity with schematic capture and PCB design using software be an added advantage

Requires good communication, reasoning, problem solving and analytical skills
