Job summary

RRecruiter is seeking an Electrical Test Engineer to join its electronics division in Singapore. The role focuses on component-level testing, electrical validation, failure analysis, and lab testing of active, passive, and electromechanical devices.

You will develop test methods, interpret results, maintain detailed records, and support customer RFQs, audits, and technical discussions with Sales and Quality teams. A strong hands-on background in bench testing and LabVIEW is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years hands-on component-level electrical testing in electronics/semiconductor.
• Experience with bench testing and electrical measurement.
• Familiarity with FA and root-cause analysis.
• Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Awareness of ESD and laboratory practices.
• Knowledge of PXI/LabVIEW is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on electrical testing and validation of active, passive, and electromechanical components using laboratory test equipment.
• Develop and improve electrical test methods, procedures, test plans, and setups; interpret results and recommend acceptance or rejection.
• Conduct bench testing and Failure Analysis (FA) to identify component performance issues and root causes.
• Operate equipment such as Oscilloscopes, DMMs, LCR Meters, SMUs, Curve Tracers, Signal/Function Generators , Impedance/Spectrum Analyzers, and related test instruments.
• Maintain detailed test records, databases, and technical documentation.
• Support customer technical requirements, RFQs, audits, technical exchanges, and application‑related activities.
• Work with Sales, Quality, and Operations on customer specifications and technical requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 3+ years of hands‑on component‑level electrical testing and validation within the semiconductor/electronics industry.
• Strong experience with bench testing, electrical measurement, and laboratory test equipment.
• Experience testing electronic components including active, passive, and electromechanical devices.
• Experience developing test procedures and methods for component validation.
• Failure Analysis (FA) experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Knowledge of ESD handling and laboratory practices.
• Familiarity with National Instruments PXI / LabVIEW is advantageous.
• Knowledge of relevant component quality/testing standards such as AS9100/AS9120, AS6081, AS5553, AS6171, JEDEC, or ISO/IEC 17025 is advantageous.
