Job summary

NatSteel Holdings Pte Ltd is seeking a Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heavy machinery. You will conduct preventive and corrective maintenance, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and support installation and commissioning on site.

Strong PLC and electrical knowledge, plus English and Chinese bilingual communication, are essential. The role requires reading electrical schematics, welding and gas cutting proficiency, and willingness to work rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• Higher NITEC / Diploma in Electrical, Electronic, or any engineering-related field.
• Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience in heavy industries.
• Welding and gas cutting proficiency.
• Hands-on knowledge of PLCs and electrical components.
• Experience with installation and commissioning is a plus.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and diagrams.
• Strong knowledge of safety compliance, including WSH regulations and LOTO procedures.
• English and Chinese bilingual for reports and liaising with stakeholders.
• Willingness to work on rotating shifts and rostered schedules.

Job Requirements

• Hands-on experience and knowledge of PLCs and electrical components

• Exposure to the installation and commissioning of machinery and equipment is an added advantage.

• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams

• Strong knowledge of safety compliance, including Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) regulations, industrial safety standards, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese (both written and spoken) is essential for preparing accurate daily technical reports, translating equipment documents, and liaising with Chinese-speaking stakeholders
