Job summary

SPH Print Centre in Singapore is seeking a technician with a Higher Nitec/ Diploma in Mechatronic, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering to support plant maintenance and equipment troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Higher Nitec/ Diploma in Mechatronic, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering.
• 2 to 3 years of relevant maintenance and troubleshooting experience.
• Detail-oriented with hands-on work in a manufacturing setting.
• Willingness to learn and upgrade skills.
• Foundational knowledge in electrical principles; read schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Familiarity with PLCs, SCADA systems; advantageous.
• Strong communication and ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Safety-conscious and able to maintain a safe work environment.
• Physically able to move machinery parts.
• Able to perform shift work including weekends and overtime.

Job description

• Higher Nitec/ Diploma in Mechatronic, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering. Candidates from related disciplines may apply.

• Preferably 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in maintenance and troubleshooting plant operating systems and equipment.

• Detail-oriented and comfortable with hands-on work in a manufacturing setting.

• Willingness to acquire and upgrade skills through continuous learning and training.

• Possess good foundational knowledge in electrical principles, including the ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams, and the general maintenance of testing tools and instruments.

• Proficient in technical computing, and familiarity with PLCs, networking and SCADA system is highly advantageous.

• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively both independently and as a collaborative team player.

• Safety-conscious and dedicated to maintaining a safe work environment.

• Physically able to move machinery parts.

• Ability to perform shift work including weekends and overtime when needed.
