Job summary

Government Technology Agency (GovTech) in Singapore seeks Senior/Assistant Engineer (Electrical) to supervise electrical maintenance and site works at the Ulu Pandan Water Reclamation Plant. You will coordinate contractors, plan shutdowns, assist in cost estimates, and ensure safety compliance.

The role involves preparing specifications, MEICA schedules, and participating in budget planning for OPEX and CAPEX. Strong MS Office skills and 2 years’ related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electronics and Electrical Engineering or relevant engineering diploma.
• Preferably with two years of relevant working experience related to maintenance of electrical equipment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Able to work in used water treatment environment and physically able to perform site works.
• Officer will be based at Ulu Pandan Water Reclamation Plant.
• Ability to attend to emergency calls or activation back to plant after office hours for work exigencies.
• Work reporting timing 8am to 5:30pm (Mon - Thurs) and 5pm (Fri), with 1 hour lunch break in between.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise contractors performing electrical works
• Plan, coordinate and perform shut down of switchboards or other electrical equipment for servicing/maintenance/repair
• Perform trouble-shooting of faults and make recommendations on repair works
• Assist in preparing technical specifications, scope of works and cost estimates for maintenance contracts
• Assist in preparing and updating MEICA maintenance schedules for electrical equipment
• Carry out plant improvement and development projects
• Assist in budgetary planning of funds for electrical systems and projects
• Perform procurement roles to raise POs, WOs, job cards and job plans
• Generate GRN and CC for services rendered
• Supervision and verification of site work and certify payments
• Ensure safety compliance including NTW/PTW permits, toolbox talks, RA, SWP
