Job summary

National Environment Agency is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to lead a team at the Tuas South Incineration Plant. You will oversee operation and maintenance of critical electrical systems, ensuring safety, reliability, and efficiency in a challenging process environment.

The role requires a degree in Electrical Engineering, with prior plant experience preferred. Fresh graduates are welcome, and strong leadership and contract-management abilities are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of technical officers to operate and maintain electrical equipment (switchgear, transformers, motors, control systems).
• Plan and execute preventive and remedial maintenance to maximise availability and minimise downtime.
• Ensure maintenance complies with safety regulations and NEA requirements.
• Call and administer tenders/contracts for electrical maintenance per NEA procurement guidelines.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

What the role is

You will work as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer in Tuas South Incineration Plant to ensure the plant and its electrical equipment are operated and maintained smoothly, safely and efficiently.

What you will be working on

You Will Be Responsible For The Following

• Lead a group of technical officers to perform operation and maintenance of electrical equipment such as, high and low tension switchgear, electrical distribution and protection equipment, transformers and motors, distribution control system, instrumentation and process control, turbine and generator control and protection equipment
• Plan and carry out the preventive and remedial maintenance of all the electrical system in the plant so as to achieve high availability and ensure breakdown equipment are repaired within the shortest possible time
• Ensure all maintenance works are carried out safely and adhere to all safety regulations so as to achieve zero accident for the section
• Call and administer tenders/contract for the maintenance, servicing and repair of the electrical system in compliance to NEA procurement guidelines and IM requirements.
• Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned
