Job summary

PUB, Singapore's National Water Agency, is seeking a Lead Engineer (Operations) to oversee plant operations and ensure effluent meets quality standards for discharge and NEWater production. You will manage water quality control, lab tasks, and coordination with contractors, while driving safety, efficiency, and compliance across multiple reclamation plants.

Based at Ulu Pandan WRP with potential work at Tuas WRP, you will lead projects, budgets, and audits, and mentor teams to maintain reliable

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in Environmental/Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to perform site works.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement operational activities to meet design capacity and effluent quality.
• Coordinate with stakeholders on water quality control, lab work, and plant shutdowns.
• Analyse water quality data and optimize plant performance using modelling tools.
• Prepare monthly water quality and performance reports and support audits.
• Oversee liquids and solids treatment at Ulu Pandan WRP and Tuas WRP.
• Engage contractor to troubleshoot equipment issues and ensure safety.
• Manage OPEX and CAPEX budgets for operations and maintenance.
• Prepare project papers, tenders, and manage contracts.
• Drive plant improvement projects for safety, energy efficiency, and resilience.
• Ensure safety permits and RA/SWP inspections; support audits.
