Job summary

Staffking Pte Ltd in Singapore West seeks an Electrical Engineer to plan, coordinate and oversee Electrical/M&E/ELV projects from design through testing and handover. You will review drawings, coordinate with clients and suppliers, and ensure compliance with codes and quality standards.

The role involves load calculations, transformer sizing, fibre optics coordination for ELV projects, site inspections and problem resolution to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Relevant experience in Electrical / M&E / ELV / Structured Cabling / Data Centre projects.
• Background in construction M&E, electrical contracting, ELV, fibre optics, structured cabling or data centre is welcome.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and oversee Electrical / M&E / ELV project works from design through installation, testing and commissioning.
• Review electrical drawings, shop drawings, specifications and project requirements for compliance.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Carry out electrical engineering works including load calculations, transformer/MCC sizing, cable and distribution system design, protection coordination and material take-off.
• For ELV/structured cabling projects, coordinate installation of fibre optics, structured cabling, data and other ELV systems.
• Conduct site inspections and monitor installation quality, progress, manpower, materials and equipment.
• Identify and resolve technical issues, site coordination problems and installation clashes.
• Coordinate and oversee testing, commissioning and handover of electrical/M&E/ELV systems.
• Prepare technical submissions, method statements, progress reports, claims, as-built drawings and operation & maintenance documentation.
• Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers on material procurement, technical requirements and project schedules.
• Participate in project, technical and progress meetings with clients and consultants.
• Ensure all works comply with project specifications, relevant codes, safety requirements and quality standards.
