Job summary

Macbuild Construction Pte Ltd is seeking an Electrical Engineering professional to liaise with clients, consultants and subcontractors, ensuring M&E works follow design, specs and codes, and to plan schedules for timely completion.

The role requires a Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering and at least two years of experience in loop check and reading drawings in building construction, with ability to work independently under pressure.

Qualifications

• Min Diploma / Degree in Electrical Engineering or its equivalent.
• Min 2 years of relevant working experience in loop check, read drawings in building construction industry.
• Good knowledge of M&E specifications & requirements.
• Be able to work independently with minimum guidance and under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with consultant, clients and subcontractors on the progress of M&E work.
• Supervise and ensure works conform to contract drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate inspection of works by Resident Engineer or Clerk of Works.
• Handle and resolve technical and engineering problems.
• Coordinate M&E engineering work with other department staff to resolve site discrepancies.
• Prepare CSD/SEM drawings for submission.
• Coordinate responses to RFI, design clarification and site queries to ensure timely resolution of technical issues during construction.
• Other ad-hoc duties when assigned.

About the role

Liaise and coordinate with client, consultant, subcontractor to resolve technical or interfacing issues. Check and ensure all mechanical and electrical works are executed in accordance with the design, specifications, regulations and codes of practice. Plan, develop and monitor work schedules to ensure timely completion of allocated tasks and schedules.
