Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an EHS Engineer in Singapore to implement and maintain ISO 14001/45001 compliant EHS programs across multiple sites. You will conduct inspections, audits, and risk assessments, supporting regulators and customers while promoting a strong safety culture.

You will coordinate training, support emergency planning, and collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure continuous EHS improvement and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Environmental, Health & Safety, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) and Environment Control Officer (ECO) certification.
• Familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
• Experience in construction, engineering, HVAC, facility management, or related industries is an advantage.
• Strong communication, investigation, problem-solving, audit and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the EHS Management System (ISO 14001/ISO 45001) with accurate documentation and records.
• Monitor compliance through workplace inspections, site assessments, and audits, supporting regulatory and customer inspections.
• Support risk management with RA, SWP, Method Statements, and other control measures.
• Investigate accidents, near misses, and environmental incidents; prepare reports and follow up on corrective actions.
• Coordinate and participate in EHS audits and ensure timely closure of findings and non-conformities.
• Plan, coordinate, and support EHS training and awareness programs for employees and contractors.
• Monitor EHS performance indicators, analyze trends, and prepare improvement recommendations.
• Assist emergency preparedness and response programs including drills and evacuation exercises.
• Collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, clients, suppliers, and regulators to promote safety and environmental performance.
• Provide day-to-day EHS support to projects, identifying unsafe conditions and stopping work when required.
