Job summary

Hi-P Precision Technology Pte. Ltd. is seeking an EHS Engineer to support workplace safety, environmental compliance and continuous improvement within our manufacturing operations.

We welcome applicants with or without previous EHS experience. The role offers exposure to risk assessments, audits, incident investigations and ISO management systems across our site.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Environment, Health & Safety, Workplace Safety & Health, Environmental/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Entry level applicants are welcome to apply.
• Experience in EHS/WSH in manufacturing is a plus.
• Familiarity with ISO 14001/45001 is advantageous; training can be provided.
• MOM-registered WSHO status is helpful but not required for entry level.

About the role

Start and grow your career in Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) within a hands-on manufacturing environment.

We are looking for an EHS Engineer to support workplace safety, environmental compliance and continuous improvement initiatives across our manufacturing operations.

Candidates without an experience are welcome to apply, and candidates with relevant EHS, WSH or manufacturing experience are also encouraged to apply.

You will work closely with experienced EHS professionals and operational teams, gaining practical exposure to workplace inspections, risk assessments, incident investigations, ISO management systems, environmental compliance and emergency preparedness.

What you'll be doing

• Support the implementation of Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) programmes, initiatives and improvement activities across the manufacturing site.

• Conduct regular workplace safety inspections and support internal and external EHS audits.

• Assist with Risk Assessments (RA), environmental impact assessments and Permit-to-Work processes.

• Identify workplace hazards and support the implementation of appropriate preventive and control measures.

• Support investigations into workplace incidents, near misses and safety concerns, including follow-up on corrective and preventive actions.

• Maintain EHS records, documentation, licences and certificates to support regulatory and corporate compliance.

• Support the implementation and continual improvement of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.

• Monitor environmental, chemical handling, waste management and workplace safety risks.

• Assist in organising emergency response exercises, fire-safety activities and workplace safety training.

• Work closely with different departments, contractors and stakeholders to promote EHS awareness and a strong workplace safety culture.

• Support contractor and visitor EHS management and compliance.

• Assist with tracking EHS objectives, performance indicators and improvement initiatives.

• Support the appointed WSHO and Fire Safety Manager with relevant workplace safety and fire-safety activities.

For experienced candidates who are already MOM-registered WSH Officers, additional responsibilities may be assigned according to experience, registration and business requirements.

What we're looking for

• Diploma or Degree in Environment, Health & Safety, Workplace Safety & Health, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or another relevant technical discipline.

• Entry Level are welcome to apply.

• Candidates with relevant EHS/WSH experience, particularly within a manufacturing environment, are also welcome.

• Basic understanding of workplace safety, risk assessment or environmental management would be advantageous.

• Familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 would be advantageous; training and guidance can be provided.

• MOM-registered WSHO status is an advantage for experienced candidates but is not required for Entry Level.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills with the confidence to work with different teams and stakeholders.

• Detail-oriented with good documentation and organisational skills.

• Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

• Positive team player with an interest in developing a long-term career in EHS/WSH.

Working arrangements

• This is a full-time position within a manufacturing environment.

• Occasional support outside standard working hours may be required for emergency response, audits or operational EHS matters.
