Job summary

VisionPower Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (VSMC) is hiring an EHS leader to identify, assess and advise on health, safety and environmental risks at our Singapore site. You will develop controls and ensure regulatory compliance across processes.

The role involves leading EHS programs, driving ISO certifications, and coordinating emergency response activities with employees and contractors to uphold a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Engineering or Science with emphasis on safety, environment or chemistry is preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in semiconductor, electronics manufacturing or other chemically intensive industries and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Identify, assess and advise on health, safety and environmental risks across the site.
• Lead hazard and risk assessments, workplace evaluations and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance through licenses, tests, inspection reports and ISO management systems.
• Drive EHS programs, waste, air, water, chemicals, gas and other processes.
• Lead Emergency Response Committee and training; support cross-functional teams.

Job description

You are responsible for identifying, assessing and advising on risks arising from the workplace health, environmental and/or work processes, recommending measures to eliminate or minimize and control the risks and implementing the measures.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct job and environment hazard and risk assessments, perform workplace evaluations, and implement corrective and preventive actions
• Apply relevant licenses, conduct tests and provide necessary inspection reports on environment and safety to drive improvement
• Lead and continually review existing and new Fab processes and equipment for EHS compliance, including managing waste, air, water, chemicals, gas and others
• Manage semiconductor process safety, establish Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) culture, implement and enhance the EHS program for employees and contractors
• Perform regular and ad-hoc inspections. audits and supervise hazardous operations safely
• Lead and facilitate ERC (Emergency Response Committee) related activities such as factory emergency response, fire, gas leak and others
• Collaborate with relevant departments for ISO14001, ISO45001, ISO14064, and ISO50001 management systems certification and compliance
• Provide technical, regulatory and process guidance to address emerging EHS issues
• A bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or Science background including Occupational Safety, Chemical Engineering or Chemistry, environmental science and emergency response or management
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in semiconductor, electronics manufacturing, or other chemically intensive manufacturing industries and regulatory compliance preferred.
• Possess industrial safety, environmental protection, and fire protection related certificates
• Opportunity to travel to Taiwan for training (Subject to needs and expectations)
• Register MOM Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) / Certified SCDF Senior Fire Safety Manager (SFSM), Certified Energy Manager (SCEM) / Certified Greenhouse Gas Manager (GHG Manager)

Such appointments form part of the core role and applicable job grade, with no separate appointment allowance.
• The jobholder is responsible for maintaining all required certifications and CPD, reporting any lapse immediately, and discharging applicable statutory duties independently with direct reporting to the occupier on statutory compliance matters.
