Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required.
• At least 5 years’ experience handling WSH in a manufacturing site, preferably electronics or semiconductor.
• Must be a registered Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Officer with MOM.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
• Comfortable interacting with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Meticulous and able to maintain detailed, accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Enter, inspect and examine worksite for potential safety violations.
• Inspect machinery and equipment for potential violations.
• Assess noise, illumination, heat, and hazardous substances on site.
• Investigate accidents or occupational diseases and coordinate with management and authorities.
• Conduct audits and safety briefings to ensure compliance with Lam’s and customers’ safety requirements.
• Establish risk mitigation mechanisms to meet compliance.
• Perform Safety Assessor role for Permit-to-work inspections.
• Notify EHS managers of unresolved issues and seek guidance.
• Represent the business unit on EHS committees and brief management.
