Job summary

Nanyang Polytechnic is seeking a dynamic Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Edge Systems Architecture to contribute to the School of Engineering. You will teach, develop curriculum, and engage with industry partners in edge computing and distributed systems.

Responsibilities include mentoring student projects, participating in curriculum review, and conducting applied research or consultancy where applicable. Hybrid work arrangement and ongoing professional development opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 3 years (Lecturer) or 5+ years (Senior Lecturer) industry experience in edge computing or distributed architectures.
• Strong knowledge of edge device management, edge AI, real-time data processing, and cloud platforms.
• Experience teaching at a tertiary institution or corporate training is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Teach and develop curricula in edge computing and distributed systems.
• Mentor student projects and internships.
• Engage with industry partners to identify collaboration opportunities.
• Participate in curriculum review and development.
• Contribute to outreach programs and faculty development.
• Conduct applied research or industry consultancy when applicable.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of edge computing technologies.
