Job summary

Nanyang Polytechnic is seeking a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Edge Systems Architecture to contribute to the School of Engineering. The role focuses on teaching, curriculum development, and industry engagement in edge computing and distributed systems, with opportunities for research and consultancy.

The ideal candidate will have a degree or postgraduate qualification in relevant fields, 3+ years industry experience for Lecturer or 5+ years for Senior Lecturer, and strong skills in edge

Qualifications

• Degree or postgraduate qualification in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field as per role.
• Experience with edge computing, distributed systems, or IoT architectures is preferred.
• Strong programming skills in Python, C/C++, Go, Java, or JavaScript and familiarity with edge frameworks/tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver industry-relevant curriculum in edge computing, IoT, distributed systems, and cloud-edge integration.
• Conduct labs, projects, and assessments to build hands-on skills in edge systems design and deployment.
• Mentor student projects, internships, and final year projects with practical problem-solving guidance.
• Engage with industry partners to align teaching with latest trends and real-world scenarios.
• Contribute to curriculum review to meet evolving industry needs and technology advances.
• Participate in school initiatives and faculty development programs.
