Job summary

Nanyang Polytechnic in Singapore seeks a dynamic Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Edge Systems Architecture to teach, develop curricula, and engage with industry within the School of Engineering. The role covers edge computing, distributed systems, and IoT across courses and capstone projects.

You will mentor projects, collaborate with industry partners, and contribute to curriculum reviews, lab sessions, and applied research.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or postgraduate degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• At least 3 years of industry/design/teaching experience for Lecturer, 5+ years for Senior Lecturer in edge computing/IoT/distributed architectures.
• Strong theory and practice in edge device management, edge AI, real-time data, edge protocols, containerization, and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver curricula on edge computing, IoT architectures, distributed systems, and cloud-edge integration.
• Conduct lab sessions, projects, and assessments to build hands-on skills in edge systems.
• Mentor student projects, internships, and final year projects.
• Engage with industry partners to identify collaborations and real‑world scenarios for teaching.
• Participate in curriculum review to align with industry needs and tech advances.
• Contribute to departmental initiatives, outreach, and faculty development.
• Conduct applied research or industry consultancy to enhance professional development.
