Job summary

Singapore Buddhist Welfare Services is seeking a dedicated early childhood educator to create and implement curricula that address the physical, emotional, and intellectual needs of young children in a safe and nurturing environment.

Your role will involve engaging with parents, managing classroom settings, and ensuring compliance with educational standards. Candidates must possess relevant educational qualifications and preferably have 1-2 years of experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Development & Education or Advanced Certificate in Early Childhood Care & Education (ACECCE).
• Certified by Early Childhood and Development Agency (ECDA) at L2 or L1 category.
• Preferably with 1-2 years of relevant work experience.

• Plan and implement early childhood curriculum to meet the physical, emotional and social, intellectual needs of the young children.
• Provide activities, apparatus and equipment to support the various curriculum areas planned for the children.
• Set-up a conducive, effective, and healthy learning environment for the children.
• Provide a safe and clean learning environment for the care and development of the children in the centre
• Maintain good classroom management.
• Shower, feed, change diapers, and toilet train the younger children.
• Monitor and ensure sick or recovering children take their medicine.
• Supervise and manage the children during both indoors and outdoors activities.
• Keep progress report and comprehensive portfolio of each child and provide input on the child’s development.
• Build good rapport with parents including maintain regular communication with parents via LittleLives.
• Build and maintain good rapport with colleagues and children.
• Assist the Centre to meet all applicable statutory licensing regulations.
• Review and recommend improvement to work processes and procedures whenever necessary

Requirements
