Job summary

JEL - Jurong Engineering Limited is seeking a junior drafting assistant to support engineers in producing detailed engineering drawings and documentation. You will learn to use CAD software and work closely with multiple disciplines to ensure designs meet project requirements.

The role welcomes candidates with or without experience who show willingness to learn, strong communication, and attention to detail, and who can work independently or as part of a team in a multi-disciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Nitec/Higher Nitec in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering from a recognized Polytechnic or ITE.
• Good communication skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and work in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering drawings using drafting software under Engineer’s guidance.
• Work closely with engineers to ensure drawings meet technical and project requirements.
• Revise drawings based on feedback and design updates.
• Perform simple calculations as and when required.
• Maintain organized records of drawing files and documentation.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines when required.
• Any other duties assigned from time to time.
