Job summary

H SUNLIGHT ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a civil drafting technician to prepare and update 2D CAD drawings using AutoCAD, supporting structural projects.

You will read architectural plans or sketches provided by engineers, ensure drawings meet design specifications and regulatory requirements, and maintain organized filing for retrieval and submission documents. Diploma or ITE Higher NITEC in Civil Engineering with 1–2 years of relevant drafting experience is preferred;

• Diploma or ITE Higher NITEC in Civil Engineering.
• 1–2 years of relevant drafting experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD for structural drawings.
• Experience with diaphragm wall or underground civil projects preferred.
• Ability to read civil/structural drawings accurately.
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare, revise and update 2D CAD shop drawings, construction drawings and as-built drawings using AutoCAD.


• Maintain and organize filling systems for drawings, plans, and submission documents to ensure easy retrieval and accuracy.


• Develop structural key plans based on architectural plans or sketches provided by engineers to support project design needs


• Verify that all drawings comply with design specifications and relevant regulatory requirements to ensure project standards are met.


• Manage assigned ad-hoc tasks promptly to support team objectives and project timelines.

Required competencies and certifications.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or ITE Higher NITEC in Civil Engineering


• Minimum 1-2 years of relevant drafting experience


• Proficient in AutoCAD software to produce accurate and detailed structural drawings


• Hand-on experience in construction drafting, preferably with diaphragm wall or underground civil project experience


• Good reading skills for civil & structural drawings, meticulous and strong sense of accuracy


• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines with strong analytical and self-motivation skills
