Job summary

MING YAN ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. is seeking a CAD Drafter to develop construction drawings and As-Built records for diverse projects. You will work from design specifications, perform site surveys, and ensure all drawings comply with standards.

The role requires a diploma in engineering or equivalent, and a mechanical or electrical background. Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; knowledge of Revit/BIM is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and develop drawings based on project requirements, design specifications, and authority requirements.
• Prepare, amend, and update renovation, construction, and technical drawings using AutoCAD.
• Visit sites to take measurements and verify existing site conditions.
• Coordinate with PMs, engineers, architects, interior designers, builders, and subcontractors to obtain project information.
• Review drawings and engineering information for compliance with designs, requirements and site conditions.
• Prepare and revise shop drawings, construction drawings, and coordination drawings as required.
• Explain drawings and technical details to construction teams and engineers and adjust as needed.
• Monitor site installation and renovation progress and update drawings for changes.
• Prepare and compile As-Built Drawings for submission on project completion.
• Assist with printing and distribution of drawings requested by Project Managers.
• Ensure all required drawings are completed accurately and submitted on time.
• Work independently and as part of a project team with minimal supervision.
• Proficient in 2D and 3D AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit, BIM and related drafting software an advantage.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare and develop drawings based on project requirements, design specifications, and relevant authority requirements.
• Prepare, amend, and update renovation, construction, and technical drawings using AutoCAD.
• Visit renovation and construction sites to conduct site measurements, gather necessary information, and verify existing site conditions.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, architects, interior designers, builders, and subcontractors to obtain and clarify project information.
• Review drawings and engineering information to ensure compliance with approved designs, project requirements, and site conditions.
• Prepare and revise shop drawings, construction drawings, and coordination drawings as required.
• Explain drawings and technical details to construction teams and engineers and make necessary adjustments when required.
• Monitor site installation and renovation progress and update drawings according to actual site changes.
