Job summary

Singapore Aero Engine Services Private Limited (SAESL) in Singapore seeks a Manager, Training Academy & Competency Management to lead the Technical Training Academy and the competency framework across all Operational Business Units.

The role focuses on developing structured capability pathways, governance, and effective training systems that support safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while collaborating with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Airworthiness, Planning, and HSE teams to

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Aerospace, Aviation Management, Technical Education, or related discipline.
• 8–10 years in aerospace MRO or technical operations, including 3 years in training management.
• Experience in training systems, competency management, and quality/performance.
• Knowledge of regulatory and airworthiness requirements; governance and authorization systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Power BI and Power Automate preferred.
• Experience collaborating with leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to drive capability initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead and govern the organisation’s Training and Competency framework, including models, assessment methodologies, and the CSM system.
• Establish and lead the Technical Training Academy to build a competent frontline workforce and oversee progression.
• Ensure competency management supports product and people safety, quality, and Zero Defects.
• Partner with Operations, Quality, Airworthiness, Engineering, Planning, and HSE to align training with operations.
