Job summary

Manulife Financial in Singapore is recruiting a Director, Product Development to lead the design and execution of innovative insurance solutions that deliver customer value, fuel business growth, and strengthen market competitiveness.

You will manage end-to-end product delivery from concept to launch, develop roadmaps for portfolios, align stakeholders, and collaborate across Distribution, Actuarial, Operations, Technology, Legal, and Compliance.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive experience in insurance product development or related roles.
• Proven ability to develop and execute product strategies and roadmaps.
• Experience leading large-scale cross-functional initiatives with significant business impact.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

As Director, Product Development, you will lead the design, and execution of innovative insurance solutions that drive customer value, business growth, and market competitiveness.

Position Responsibilities:

• Manage the delivery of new products and enhancements from concept to launch, including business cases, product specifications, stakeholder alignment, and preparation of point of sales documents.

• Support the development and execution of product roadmap for assigned product portfolios by identifying market opportunities, customer needs, industry trend and translating insights into actionable product initiatives and value propositions.

• Collaborate and drive conversations with cross functional stakeholders (eg: Distribution, Actuarial, Operations, Technology, Legal, Compliance) to drive product initiatives, influence alignment, and resolve issues timely.

• Partner with distribution teams to develop and execute sales campaigns that drive product adoption, customer value, and business growth.

• Ensure effective execution of product initiatives through strong governance, risk oversight, and disciplined project delivery.

Required Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive experience in insurance product development, product strategy, pricing or other related roles.

• Proven experience developing and executing product strategies and roadmaps.

• Demonstrated success leading large-scale cross-functional initiatives with significant business impact.

• Strong understanding of insurance product design, customer value propositions, market dynamics, competitive positioning and insurance process.

• Experience influencing senior stakeholders and driving alignment across multiple business functions.

• Strong analytical, commercial, problem-solving, and strategic thinking capabilities.

• Strong team player with a collaborative mindset, committed to fostering knowledge sharing and a high-performing team culture.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Economics, Actuarial Science, or a related discipline.
