Qualifications

Role Overview

The Director of Operations will lead the company’s operations in Singapore and support its regional business activities. The role has responsibility for operational strategy, business performance, financial management, organisational development and the implementation of scalable operating processes.

The successful candidate must have substantial business leadership experience, including direct responsibility for managing a company, business division or profit-and-loss function.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company’s operational strategy in line with its business objectives.
• Direct the company’s day-to-day operations in Singapore and coordinate regional activities where applicable.
• Hold responsibility for operational budgets, revenue targets, cost management and overall business performance.
• Establish operating plans, performance indicators, reporting systems and internal controls.
• Lead business planning, forecasting and resource allocation.
• Recruit, manage and develop operational and management personnel.
• Work with the Chief Executive Officer and Board on growth strategy, market expansion and organisational priorities.
• Identify operational risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
• Oversee relationships with customers, suppliers, service providers and other commercial partners.
• Negotiate and manage key commercial arrangements and strategic partnerships.
• Support the development and launch of new products, services or business lines.
• Coordinate with finance, legal, human resources, sales and technology functions.
• Ensure that business operations follow applicable company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Represent the company in discussions with key customers, partners and other stakeholders.

Required Experience and Capabilities

• At least 10 years of business leadership, general management or operational management
• experience.
• Demonstrated experience running a company, business division or substantial business unit.
• Direct responsibility for business performance, budgets, financial results or profit-and-loss
• management.
• Experience developing and implementing operational and commercial strategies.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing senior stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of business planning, financial management, process improvement and organisational development.
