Job summary

Moody’s seeks a seasoned insurance industry expert to drive client engagement, solution design, and go-to-market execution across the Asia Pacific region. You will act as trusted advisor to senior stakeholders and lead engagements leveraging Moody’s risk analytics and AI capabilities.

Collaboration with relationship managers, product teams, and clients will turn market insights and regulatory developments into tangible solutions, while delivering training and thought leadership across markets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in insurance, reinsurance, or insurance consulting.
• Deep domain expertise across key insurance workflows.
• Strong knowledge of regional and global regulatory frameworks and market dynamics.
• Hands-on underwriting, catastrophe modeling, solvency, and risk management experience.
• Familiarity with generative AI use cases in insurance and governance.
• Excellent presentation and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts to executive leadership and clients.
• Comfortable delivering in a fast-paced APAC environment.

Skills And Competencies

• Minimum 10 years of experience in the insurance, reinsurance, or insurance consulting industry with deep domain expertise across key insurance workflows
• Strong knowledge of regional and global insurance regulatory frameworks, industry dynamics, and emerging market trends
• Hands-on experience in property and casualty underwriting, natural catastrophe modeling and applications required. Experience in solvency, portfolio management, climate risk management, and stress testing preferred
• Demonstrated understanding of generative artificial intelligence use cases and applications within insurance and reinsurance markets preferred
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with executive leadership, board members, and senior client stakeholders
• Public speaking experience preferred, including the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under tight deadlines
• Strong experience using AI tools to lead transformative initiatives for insurers and application of agentic workflows for insurers with familiarity of AI-related risks and governance frameworks is a plus.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Actuarial or a related field
• Advanced degree or postgraduate qualification preferred

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders and executive leaders to strengthen existing client relationships and develop new business opportunities
• Provide subject matter expertise and support clients in interpreting and applying Moody’s solutions across insurance and reinsurance workflows
• Lead solution design activities by identifying client needs and aligning Moody’s offerings to address complex business challenges
• Manage client proposals, proof of concepts, and demonstrations using industry best practices to maximize client value and business impact
• Design, develop, and execute market outreach and thought leadership initiatives focused on key industry themes, regulatory developments, and emerging risks
• Collaborate closely with Relationship Managers, Solution Specialists, product teams, and other internal stakeholders to support sales strategy execution and business development efforts
• Translate emerging market trends, competitive insights, and regulatory requirements into product recommendations and business cases that support future solution development
• Deliver internal training, coaching, and knowledge-sharing sessions on client use cases, workflows, personas, and industry developments to enhance commercial effectiveness

The Industry Practice Group is comprised of practitioners, former regulators, and subject matter experts specializing in areas including underwriting, catastrophe modeling, climate risk, financial crime compliance, and generative artificial intelligence. The team advises existing and prospective customers across a broad range of insurance workflows while partnering closely with product, research, advisory, partnerships, customer success, and sales teams to align Moody’s solutions with evolving industry challenges.
