Job summary

INTERPOL is seeking a high-level Director to lead the Innovation Centre from IGCI Singapore, reporting to the Executive Director for Capacity Building and Innovation. The role focuses on strategic direction, partnerships, and the deployment of transformative technologies including AI across member countries.

The candidate will manage the Directorate, oversee international projects, and promote innovative practices in policing while collaborating with multiple INTERPOL units and external partners.

Qualifications

  • Profound expertise in international police cooperation, strategy and innovation at the executive management level in a law enforcement environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of innovation processes.
  • 10 to 15 years of managerial experience in international cooperation and/or innovation.
  • Ability to communicate tactfully with a wide variety of users.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a principal advisor to the Secretary General and Executive Director for Capacity Building and Innovation on the strategic direction of INTERPOL's approaches to support innovation for both law enforcement and the General Secretariat.
  • Be the principal driver of this INTERPOL capability by organizing specific, related activities and an annual flagship event.
  • Develop the Directorate as a global reference point for facilitating innovation in policing and retaining the internal lead on the adoption of innovative culture, practices, and solutions across the Organization, leveraging AI as a cross-cutting strategic enabler.

Education

University degree (Masters) in a relevant domain
