Job summary

Reeracoen Singapore Pte Ltd is recruiting a Director for Forklift Business in Singapore. You will oversee operations, strengthen customer and supplier relationships, and support growth while liaising with the Japan Head Office. The role requires leadership experience and fluent Japanese/English.

You will report to the current Director and Japan Head Office, with opportunity to take broader leadership responsibilities over time. Travel and field activities are expected.

Qualifications

• Must have 8+ years in leadership or management roles.
• JLPT N1 or equivalent Japanese proficiency required.
• English communication with HQ and partners in Singapore.

Responsibilities

• Manage key customer relationships with field visits and account management.
• Visit existing customers regularly to understand needs and provide solutions.
• Develop supplier relationships and work with sales for new business.
• Monitor operations and report to Japan Head Office and Singapore team.
• Coordinate between Singapore office and Japan Head Office.
• Identify opportunities to improve operations and expand business.
• Travel for business as required, including sourcing and expansion.

Director, Forklift Business (Japanese Speaking) (Ref: 37890)

Salary: S$8,000 - S$13,000

Our client is a Japanese forklift dealer providing forklift rental and sales services in Singapore. They are seeking a Director to oversee business operations, strengthen customer and supplier relationships, and support the company’s growth.

The role reports to the current Director and Japan Head Office and offers the opportunity to take on broader leadership responsibilities over time.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain relationships with existing customers, with a strong focus on field-based customer visits and account management
• Conduct regular visits to existing customers to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and business partners
• Work closely with the sales team, which is primarily responsible for new business development
• Monitor business operations and support the overall management of the company
• Coordinate with the Japan Head Office and provide regular business updates and reports
• Support communication and coordination between the Singapore office and Japan Head Office
• Identify opportunities to improve business operations and expand the company’s business in Singapore and overseas markets
• Travel for business when required, including potential overseas travel for sourcing and market expansion activities
• Take on broader management responsibilities and work towards becoming the future Director of the company

Requirement & Preferences

• Minimum GCE ‘O’ Level qualification or equivalent.
• At least 8 years of leadership or management experience, including experience managing operations in a small team or business.
• Proficiency in Japanese (JLPT N1 or equivalent) and English is required to communicate with Japan Head Office, prepare business updates, and liaise with customers and business partners in Singapore.
• Valid Singapore driving licence for customer site visits.
• Willingness to conduct regular field visits and travel for business when required.
• Proactive approach to customer relationship management and business operations.

• Experience in the forklift industry.
• Access to a personal vehicle for customer visits.
