Job summary

WECRUIT PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a Nursing Specialist to support the Diagnostic Imaging Services (DIS) by implementing departmental standards and monitoring clinical practices.

You will participate in clinical audits to uphold high standards of patient care. You will assess, plan, and evaluate nursing care for safe outcomes, explain procedures to patients, and supervise nurses in pre- and post-procedure education.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of departmental standards, policies, and procedures within Diagnostic Imaging Services (DIS).
• Monitor clinical practices and participate in clinical audits to maintain high standards of patient care.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes.
• Verify the completeness and validity of consent forms and explain procedures and expected examination durations to patients.
• Review and update SOPs, work instructions, and clinical competency checklists using evidence-based practices.
• Guide and supervise nurses in providing patient and family education, including pre- and post-procedure care.
• Assist radiologists during interventional radiology procedures.
• Assist radiologists and anaesthetists in cases requiring moderate sedation, within the nurse's scope of practice.
• Ensure accurate billing of procedures performed and consumables used.
• Follow radiation protection measures to minimise unnecessary exposure to patients, staff, and the public.
• Respond calmly and effectively to clinical emergencies.
• Comply with infection prevention and control standards.
• Participate in nursing quality improvement initiatives and committee activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director or Radiologist.
