Job summary

Molex Singapore is seeking a Development Process Engineer to lead a focused team that supports the product development process, ensuring robust design and manufacturability across both low and high production volumes.

You will collaborate with product and SI engineers, tooling PEs and plant MEs to drive tooling development, validate new technologies, and deliver projects from concept through high-volume production with quality and cost targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering related to precision electromechanical components.
• Experience with synchronous, asynchronous, flexible (robotics), and manual assembly systems.
• 3-5 years of project management experience.
• Working knowledge of SPC and DOE.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication across levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead a focused team to support product development and ensure robust design and manufacturability in low and high volumes.
• Identify design limitations and suggest improvements to meet DFM and inspection guidelines.
• Lead proof-of-concept work in early design stages to validate new technology or concepts.
• Develop manufacturing strategies and drive tooling development to meet quality and cost targets.
• Coordinate with product, marketing, finance and management to analyze scenarios and select optimal solutions.
• Oversee transfer of tooling processes and equipment to NPI and manufacturing plants; assist debugging and qualification.
• Support ramp-up and capacity additions at production plants.
• Develop specifications for automated processes and equipment; debug and qualify high-speed assembly equipment.
• Contribute to GLSS, Six Sigma, ISO, and EH&S policies and procedures.
