Job summary

AURUS CONSULTING PTE. LTD. is seeking a QA/Testing professional to lead a small to mid-size team, drive project deliverables, and design reusable automated testing approaches using TOSCA.

The role focuses on verification and validation practices, with strong collaboration across PMO, business, development and third-party vendors. Responsibilities include mentoring engineers, defining QA processes, tracking SIT progress and root-cause analysis, and participating in FSD walkthroughs and quarterly

Job description

• Experience in leading a small/medium team. Leading projects activities in accordance with policies and standards.
• Drive deliverables on a project's basis being responsive to schedule and quality requirements.
• Design with re-use in mind to fast track quality of products using automation - TOSCA
• Implement verification (e.g., Technical Reviews) and validation (e.g., Function Test or System Test) practices, standards, metrics, training, and processes)).
• Partner with the Project Management Office, Business team, Development Team, and Third-Party Vendors to ensure that the strategy is understood, in use, prerequisites are completed, and that outputs are analysed.
• Coach and mentor Junior and Senior Systems Engineers.
• Responsible for defining the QA process (Working with the SIT teams to provide SIT test Progress, defect's root cause analysis and impact, preventive actions during and post testing and responsible for providing the Quality test report.
• Experience in V-model, Waterfall Model and Agile and Sprint software development methodologies and techniques.
• Involve in FSD walkthrough, Dev & Test Strategy, schedule and planning the overall activities for Quarterly releases include production defect fixes (average 50 defects), Change Requests (average 8 enhancements), ensure smooth signoff as per schedule (UOB).
• Extensive experience in Manual Testing (Black Box Testing), Functional Testing, System Testing, Integration Testing, Smoke Testing, Regression testing, GUI testing, backend testing, Security testing, browser compatibility and Mobile testing of the applications using Mac Operating system, mobile devices with iOS and Android operating systems, Web Services testing using SOAP UI tool and related SOAP test suite and test cases.
• Provide functional and testing support (L1, and functional clarification) to UAT users, track the UAT daily status to ensure the timeline on track
• Able to work under pressure with tight deadlines and/or multiple projects.
• Exposure in Automation testing using Selenium Tool with basic JAVA scripting using Selenium commands (by ID, NAME, XPATH, CSS) as well scripting with the TOSCA tool.
• Experience in using Altassian JIRA/HP Mercury Tools for Defect Tracking and for Project management.
• Strong Knowledge in Banking/Financial domain (Corporate/Commercial/Retail banking)
