Job summary

G-Tech Engineering Services Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a technically competent Engineering Designer to support our engineering and construction projects. You will prepare and update drawings, layouts and technical documentation, working with engineers, project teams and site personnel to ensure design requirements are accurately implemented.

Job Description

G-Tech Engineering Services Pte Ltd is looking for a technically competent and detail-oriented Engineering Designer to support our engineering and construction projects in Singapore.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and updating engineering drawings, layouts and technical documentation, working closely with engineers, project teams and site personnel to ensure design requirements are accurately implemented.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, layouts and technical drawings based on project requirements.
• Develop and modify drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications and project documentation.
• Prepare shop drawings, fabrication drawings and as-built drawings.
• Update drawings based on design revisions and site requirements.
• Coordinate drawings and designs with engineers, contractors and other project stakeholders.
• Assist engineers in developing practical and technically accurate design solutions.
• Review drawings for accuracy, dimensions, specifications and constructability.
• Incorporate site measurements and changes into technical drawings.
• Maintain proper records of drawings, revisions and project documentation.
• Assist with material quantity take-offs and preparation of technical information when required.
• Conduct site visits when necessary to verify existing conditions and design requirements.
• Ensure drawings comply with project specifications and relevant Singapore standards.
• Perform other design and technical drafting duties assigned by the project team.

Requirements

• Diploma or higher qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Design or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in engineering design, technical drafting or related work.
• Good understanding of engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Proficient in AutoCAD or other relevant CAD software.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy in preparing technical drawings.
• Able to work independently as well as coordinate with engineers and project teams.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Relevant experience in Singapore engineering or construction projects will be an advantage.

Education

Diploma or equivalent qualification.

Experience

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in engineering design, technical drafting or related engineering work.

Working Conditions

• Full-time position
• 5.5-day working week
• Primarily office-based with occasional project/site visits.
• May be required to coordinate with project and site teams.
