Job summary

TECHLEAD TECHNOLOGY PTE. LTD. is seeking a meticulous Drafter to prepare and manage 2D/3D engineering drawings, shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and as-built documentation using AutoCAD.

You will collaborate with engineers, project teams, and subcontractors to support project execution, coordinate design changes, conduct site measurements, and maintain drawing records throughout the project lifecycle. The role requires Diploma/NITEC in a related field, at least 2 years of drafting experience

Qualifications

• Diploma, NITEC, or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Drafting, Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of drafting experience in construction, semiconductor, M&E, cleanroom, or industrial engineering.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit or BIM is an advantage.
• Able to read and interpret engineering, construction, and shop drawings.
• Familiar with semiconductor or industrial construction projects is preferred.

Our member company is seeking a meticulous and motivated Drafter to join the team. In this role, you will play a critical part in preparing and managing 2D/3D engineering drawings, shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and as-built documentation using AutoCAD while ensuring compliance with project specifications and client requirements. Collaborate closely with engineers, project teams, and subcontractors to support project execution, coordinate design changes, conduct site measurements, and maintain accurate drawing records throughout the project lifecycle.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare and revise 2D and 3D engineering drawings using AutoCAD or other drafting software.


• Produce shop drawings, construction drawings, fabrication drawings, and as-built drawings.


• Prepare detailed layouts based on engineering designs and project specifications.


• Ensure all drawings comply with client requirements, engineering standards, and company procedures.


• Maintain drawing revisions and ensure all drawings are updated accordingly.

Project Coordination

• Coordinate with Engineers, Project Managers, Site Supervisors, and subcontractors regarding drawing requirements.


• Attend project coordination meetings when required.


• Incorporate design changes and site modifications into drawings.


• Ensure drawings are issued according to project schedules.

Site Support

• Conduct site measurements and verify dimensions when necessary.


• Prepare as-built drawings upon project completion.

Documentation

• Maintain proper filing and document control for all engineering drawings.


• Prepare drawing submissions for client and consultant approval.


• Ensure drawing records are complete, accurate, and properly archived.


• Assist in preparing material take-offs and quantity calculations from drawings.

Job Requirements

• Diploma, NITEC, or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Drafting, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related discipline.


• Minimum 2 years of drafting experience in the construction, semiconductor, M&E, cleanroom, or industrial engineering industry.


• Proficient in AutoCAD. Knowledge of Revit or BIM will be an advantage.


• Able to read and interpret engineering, construction, and shop drawings.


• Familiar with semiconductor or industrial construction projects is preferred.


• Good knowledge of drafting standards and engineering documentation.


• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.


• Good communication and coordination skills.


• Detail-oriented, organised, and able to work independently as well as in a team.


• Able to meet project deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
