MTC CONSULTING PTE. LTD. is seeking a PCB Layout Engineer in Singapore to lead placement, routing, and layout implementation from concept through production.

You will work closely with R&D, Test and Manufacturing to ensure reliable, manufacturable designs and timely deliverables. The role requires 3–5 years of PCB layout experience, proficiency in Altium and at least one other tool (Cadence Allegro or PADS).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of PCB layout experience preferred.
• Proficient with PCB design tools such as Altium, Cadence Allegro or PADS.

Responsibilities

• Execute PCB component placement, routing and design checks based on schematics and guidelines.
• Develop multi-layer high-density PCB layouts including high-speed designs.
• Collaborate with Hardware, Mechanical and Test teams on early-stage PCB planning and routing strategy.
• Support fabrication and SMT assembly through production with DFM/DFT compliance.
• Create and maintain PCB libraries and documentation (Gerber, BOM, drawings).
• Perform design reviews and address signal integrity, power integrity and manufacturability issues.
• Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturing partners to resolve issues.

About the Role

As a PCB Layout Engineer, you will be responsible for PCB placement, routing, and design implementation based on schematics and engineering requirements. You will work closely with R&D, Test, and Manufacturing teams to develop reliable and manufacturable PCB designs from concept through fabrication and production.

Key Responsibilities

• ExecutePCB component placement, routing, and design checksbased on schematics, layout guidelines, and engineering requirements
• Develop and modifymulti-layer and high-density PCB layouts, including high-speed and fine-pitch designs
• Work closely with Hardware, Mechanical, and Test Engineers onearly-stage PCB planning, component placement, routing strategy, and design implementation
• Support PCB design fromconcept, fabrication, and SMT assembly through production, ensuring designs meet DFM/DFA/DFT requirements
• Create and maintaincomponent, footprint, and PCB librariesto ensure accurate and standardized design data
• Participate in design reviews and perform layout checks to identify potentialsignal integrity, power integrity, manufacturability, and design rule issues
• Prepare and maintain PCB design documentation, includingGerber files, fabrication/assembly drawings, BOMs, and engineering change documentation
• Follow up on PCB fabrication and SMT assembly with suppliers, and support the resolution ofmanufacturing, assembly, and manufacturability issues
• Maintain proper design revision control and support engineering changes throughout the product development cycle
• Manage assigned PCB design activities across multiple projects and ensure deliverables are completed according to project schedules

About You

• Bachelor's degree or above inElectrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in PCB layout/design; candidates with strong academic or project experience may also be considered
• Proficient in at least one PCB design tool such asAltium Designer, Cadence Allegro, or PADS; Altium experience is preferred
• Hands-on experience withmulti-layer PCB placement and routing, preferably 6-layer or higher
• Experience withhigh-density PCB layout and fine-pitch BGA routing, experience with 0.4 mm pitch BGA is an advantage
• Basic understanding ofSignal Integrity (SI), Power Integrity (PI), EMC/EMI, and PCB design rules
• Good understanding ofPCB fabrication, SMT assembly, and DFM/DFA/DFT principles
• Experience withHDI, high-speed, RF, ATE load boards, probe cards, or test boardswill be an added advantage
• Strong attention to detail with good problem-solving and analytical skills
• Able to work effectively with cross-functional teams, PCB suppliers, and manufacturing partners
• Good communication skills and ability to manage multiple tasks within project timelines
• Experience withAltium Signal Integrity tools or Keysight Power Analyzeris a plus
