Job summary

FJ MACHINERY PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a proficient CAD designer to draft aluminium window and door systems, integrating engineering calculations and data into detailed design drawings.

You will gather field measurements, review specifications, and translate concepts into precise CAD layouts for production. The role requires a Diploma/Nitec in relevant engineering, strong initiative and interpersonal skills, and 3–4 years' experience in M&E or ACMV projects.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Nitec in Mechanical/Electrical/Building Services Engineering or Intelligent Building Technology.
• Candidates without the above qualifications may be considered based on project references.
• Confidence and assertiveness with initiative and good interpersonal skills.
• Preferably 3–4 years' experience in M&E or ACMV construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Draft Alum window and door designs based on concepts, sketches, and data.
• Visit sites to collect measurements and assemble data as needed.
• Develop detailed CAD drawings and specifications.
• Review specifications and drawings to assess design factors.
• Compute formulas to develop detailed equipment specifications.
• Modify and revise designs to correct deficiencies.
• Handle other duties as assigned.

Job Description

• Draft detailed Alum Window and Door, based on preliminary concepts, sketches, Engineering calculations, specification sheets and other data.
• Obtain and assemble data to complete designs, visiting job sites to compile measurements as ncessary.
• Develop detailed design drawings and specifications, using computer-assisted drafting (CAD) equipment.
• Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting component designs, procedures and instructions to be followed.
• Compute mathematical formulas to develop and design detailed specifications for equipment and systems, using computer-assisted equipment.
• Modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies.
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Preferably with Diploma/ Nitec in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Building Services Engineering/ Intelligent Building Technology
• Candidates without the necessary academic qualifications will also be considered based on project references.
• Confidence and Assertiveness with high degree of initiative and interpersonal skills.
• Preferably with 3-4 years' experience in the construction industry of M&E or ACMV projects.

Remuneration will commensurate with qualifications and experience.
